Your bathroom is the most important place of your bachelor pad to a woman and certainly important to the average guest if you don’t want to come off wrong. You want this part of your home to be the cleanest! We recommend replacing your toilet if it is old and even replacing the vanity (premade vanities can be bought at home improvement stores for great prices.  A custom vanity is rather expensive, but may be worth exploring).

The flooring title and shower tile can usually be scrubbed with an acid wash. Or you can go as far as to get a company to stain the grout white so it looks clean. After they stain it, have it sealed.  You will then want to maintain the detail with bleach or cleaning solution.

When a woman is in your bathroom a run on the tile is a good idea as to invite her to take her shoes off.  If you have a nice fluffy rug, a woman may take her shoes off and feel comfort that will soon spread to the rest of your house on a subconscious level.

You should have hand soap and a towel at the ready in the bathroom. We put hand soap in a fancy bottle bought from Bed Bath & Beyond, as the bottles they come in are very non bachelor!

We recommend having a storage unit that goes over the toilet that has crown molding and is finished very nicely. You can store soap, q-tips, and towels in this elegant piece of furniture. It adds a touch to your bathroom.  

Towels should be clean, big, and fluffy. A nice bathroom with great towels invites people to want to spend the night and/or take a shower. Don’t be cheap on the towels.  Have a separate set of towels readily available that you don’t use.

If you really want to impress a girl that stays the night, you should have accessories that she will use, such as shampoo and conditioner, body soap, foot soap, etc. We went ahead and ordered a woman’s package from Keihls (www.kiehls.com). Women love these products and the fact that you have them adds a comfort level to staying at your house. A new toothbrush in its package also is a good idea!

Have crazy medications in your medicine cabinet?  Move them to another part of the house where a snooper will not find them.

Bottom line is to keep the bathroom the cleanest part of the house.  It can make or break the comfort building stage and you can guarantee a woman will ask to see use your bathroom at some point or another.
