Decorating your home in your own way |
Interior design encompasses all; beginning with proper space utilization, color selection for walls and floors, purchasing furniture and fabric should be matching with the theme and light effects. It can really spruce up your home and give it an all-new fresh look with vibrant color. You wish to redecorate, be it your living room, kid’s room, teen’s room, dining area or the bedroom you can choose from the multitude of decorating style.
First off, you need to decide on what you want and how to utilize your space to maximum. Once you are through with it you can narrow down on your selection of interior design style. It can be oriental approach to your living room or a simple cottage styled relaxed ambience with informal accessories and light crisp colors. However, the best way to decide on your interior is how and what kind of accessories you would prefer decorating your home with. If you are a collector of primitive antique items, you can style up your living space with earthen color and tone and let it be plain wooded furniture that is accentuated with earthen corner pieces. And if not that, give it a rustic look by bringing home furniture and chandeliers made up of twigs, antlers and/or branches. Again, you can give an eclectic and interesting European look to your interiors with neutral color that can make the accessories and rugs more colorful ventilating the much liked European flavor. Redecorating a kids’ room with creative interior design can be fun and challenging. It is here that you can let your imagination run wild. As a kid's interest keeps changing so there cannot be a single theme room. Decorate your kid’s room with things that he/she likes the best and has avid interest in. You can get the walls painted with toon characters and use bright and bold characters. If it is a boy's room, he might like animals, be it a dog, cat or even a frog or snake and get the wall painted by its picture. Get some items that have animal motifs and hang it on the wall. One could redo kid room giving the kid a feel of being on a Kenyan safari. Make sure that the quilts are made of soft fabric and pine beds with pillows weaved off leopard print to give the room the ultimate interior design effect. Again, if it’s a girl's room, get it decorated with glowing stickers on the ceiling. At night it would glow and your kid can feel the twinkling effect of stars indoors or even get an angel with a wand painted on the wall or even let a photo of her be redone in graphics hand-in-hand with her favorite Barbie. No wonder the effect will take your kid to the wonderland. Redoing a teen’s calls for more creativity because of the variations in the mood of any teen. However, you can try putting up maps to make his/her room extra educational and informative. If your teen boy is a car buff get all his models stuck on one side of the wall and on the other side his favorite sports personalities can be stuck and on the third inspiring leaders pictures can be stuck. You will rather some surprises at home; your teen will love to party at home rather than at pubs. If you are still indecisive on the correct interior design style, you can still blend everything together in a potpourri and who knows it would still be a great out-of--box design. |
